BOISE, Idaho — Another road construction project in downtown Boise is starting on Monday, April.
Drivers should be aware that one block of Avenue C near St. Luke’s will reopen to traffic, while one block of East Jefferson Street will be closed. The closure is expected to last around six weeks.
Officials say the work is being done to complete the first phase of road improvements started last summer.
Avenue C will be open between Bannock and Jefferson streets. Crews will still be working in the area, but the road will be open to traffic. Flaggers will guide drivers through the area.
One block of East Jefferson Street will be closed between Avenues B and C. Crews are widening Jefferson to allow to the addition of a bike lane in both directions. Work is expected to be complete by mid-May, with both roads fully open by the summer.
