CASSIA COUNTY, Idaho — A 48-year-old man from Rupert has died and a man from Jackson, also 48, is in the hospital after a crash in Cassia County. Idaho State Police (ISP) said the two were driving a 2023 Can-Am Defender Side-By-Side when it hit a cow and the ATV overturned on Old Highway 30 near 2450 east.
According to ISP, the crash happened Saturday April 27, 2024, at 9:08 p.m. The man from Rupert died at the scene and the driver was taken to the hospital via air ambulance.
Traffic was blocked for about three hours while crews cleared the road. ISP is investigating the crash.
