St. Luke's lifts lockdown at Meridian location

According to a Meridian PD spokesperson, the hospital went on lockdown after a person called in a domestic threat.

BOISE, Idaho — St. Luke's Meridian Medical Center resumed normal operations after going into lockdown Thursday afternoon due to an "external threat."

According to a City of Meridian spokesperson, they said the hospital went into lockdown after a person called in a domestic threat against a St. Luke's employee. The hospital sent an email shortly after 4 p.m. instructing those outside to stay away and those inside to lockdown.

Meridian police officers were on the scene when KTVB's reporter arrived, and additional law enforcement responded later Thursday. Officers guarding the door said they were allowing people in and out of the building.

The spokesperson said the issue has been resolved, and the lockdown has been lifted. Also, officers would remain on the scene.

Officers are still investigating the incident.
