Salmon River Road closed from debris, should open in 48 hours

The Forest Service said the debris came from a large storm that passed through on June 30.

NORTH FORK, Idaho — A section of Salmon River Road, west of North Fork, has been blocked by debris from a storm on June 30. According to the Salmon-Challis National Forest Service, the road is impassable from Cove Creek to Colson Creek.

In a news release, officials said crews are on the scene trying to clear the road. They expect it to stay that way for the next 48 hours and will re-asses at that time.
