BOISE — You know summer is ending when the dogs take over at the Natatorium in Boise.
The 10th annual See Spot Splash was held Monday afternoon.
Every year at the close of swimming season the Natatorium off Warm Springs Avenue opens up its pool to our four-legged friends.
Each dog is allowed one hour to play in the water. And the dogs had the time of their life.
“Really this is just a fun end-of-the-season party," said Boise Parks and Recreation spokeswoman Bonnie Shelton. "We know people in Boise love their dogs, I have a dog. Anytime you can get them out is great, wear them out, and on a hot day, what's better than jumping in the pool?"
All money raised from the event is split between the Idaho Humane Society and Boise Parks and Recreation, which will use the funds to improve the city's dog parks.
