Serious motorcycle crash in Canyon County involves 4 vehicles, sends 2 people to hospital

The crash, near Lake Lowell, sent two women to the hospital. One from Boise, the other from North Platte, Nebraska.

CANYON COUNTY, Idaho — Two women are in the hospital after a four-vehicle crash near Lake Lowell. According to the Idaho State Police (ISP), the crash happened at the intersection of Lake Shore Dr and Pump Rd, in Canyon County on Sept. 14 around 11:20 a.m. 

ISP said the crash involved a group of motorcycles headed west on Lake Shore Dr. Two of the motorcyclists, a woman from North Platte, Nebraska and one from Boise were injured.

"A 2015 Honda Accord, was traveling eastbound on Lake Shore Dr. A group of motorcycles were traveling westbound on Lake Shore Dr. when a White 2003 Harley Davidson motorcycle attempted to catch up with the other motorcyclists. The motorcycle crossed into the eastbound lanes and side swiped the Honda Accord. The driver of the Honda Accord swerved into the westbound lanes, and struck a maroon 2010 Victory motorcycle head on. A black 2023 Can-AM Ryker, driven by a 49- year-old-from Nampa, then struck the Honda Accord. All vehicles came to rest at the intersection of Lake Shore Dr and Pump Rd," ISP stated.

The woman from Boise was riding the white 2003 Harley Davidson and the woman from Nebraska was riding the maroon 2010 Victory motorcycle.

ISP is investigating.
