COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho — Just days after being installed, the Coeur d'Alene Tribe Natural Resources says a sign was shot and gate significantly damaged.
The gates and trespassing signs were put up on several pieces of Tribal property along what is called the "Stateline Patch" — located east of Idaho Road and starting at the intersection of Tekoa Idaho Road.
The Tribe’s Recreation Management, Fisheries, and Wildlife Programs installed them, after several instances of trespassing on the protected land.
In the post by the Coeur d'Alene Tribe Natural Resources, the land is "cherished by Tribal members for hunting and gathering."
If you have any information about the property damage, contact Tribal Law Enforcement, Ralph Allan at 686-6008, or Jason Brown at 686-1118.
