BOISE, Idaho — By the look of things at Expo Idaho Friday, a lot of folks are excited for ski season.
There were long lines to get in the building this afternoon.
Today is the first day of the ski swap.
Sellers started dropping their skies and snowboards off Thursday.
The ski swap is open to buyers throughout the weekend.
It wraps up tonight at 10 o'clock.
And it will start back up Saturday at 10 a.m. and run until 8 p.m.
Sunday it goes from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Organizers say this is a great opportunity to buy gear for the upcoming season.
"It's just a great opportunity to come down and get whatever you need for the ski season,” said Mark Wedeking. “You know we've got clothes, we've got boots, skis, poles. anything you need. There's even some ski racks out here.”
“It helps benefit the Bogus Basin Ski Education Foundation. We are an organization that provides competitive, alpine and snowboard skiing for the youth of the Treasure Valley."
Admission is $5 for the rest of the day today.
Saturday and Sunday, admission is $3.
If you bring a can of food on Sunday, you can get in free.
Kids under 12 have free admission all three days.
