ALPINE, Wyo. — A pilot received first-aid from emergency responders and later died in the hospital after crashing a small plane into the Palisades Reservoir near Alpine, Wyoming. According to the Bonneville County Sheriff's Office (BCSO), the crash happened July 4 around 5:30 p.m. Boaters found the pilot first and gave first-aid until responders arrived, no one else was hurt.
BCSO said the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office (WY), Lincoln County Search and Rescue, Star Valley EMS, Idaho Falls Ambulance and the Idaho State Police assisted.
The crash is being investigated by the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB).
