FAIRFIELD, Idaho — Thanksgiving is done, temperatures are dropping and yet we have not seen much snow this year.
Soldier Mountain wants to change that, and they plan on doing so by hosting a Pray for Snow party on Dec. 2. The event is free to the public and begins at 5 p.m. at the resort.
Activities at the event include bonfires, live music, games, and a cash bar, the news release stated. Singer-songwriter Colt Angell will be playing. RSVP for the event on this Facebook page.
At Saturday's party, Solider Mountain will be offering a one-time, one-day-only, $50 discount on season passes. Residents must attend in person to receive the discount. Without the discount, season passes are $499 for adults, $299 for youth and $199 for silver seniors. Kids under six ski and snowboard for free.
If Mother Nature cooperates, Solider Mountain plans to open on Dec. 8, the release said.
The 208 Bar & Grill in Jerome will also be hosting a Pray for Snow party on Friday, Dec. 1 at 6 p.m.
