Multiple agencies respond to structure fire in Payette on Tuesday

Payette Police officers stepped in, grabbing the hydrant and initial attack due to Payette Fire being "stretched thin," they said in a Facebook post.

BOISE, Idaho — On Tuesday, Payette Fire received a call about a grass fire, that quickly became a fully structure fire.

Payette Fire wanted to say thank you to New Plymouth Fire Protection District, Ontario Fire and Rescue, and Fruitland Fire Department for their assistance with the house fire.

However, those weren't the only agencies responding. Payette Police officers stepped in, grabbing the hydrant and initial attack due to Payette Fire being "stretched thin", they said in a Facebook post

Payette Fire took the opportunity in the Facebook post to remind residents that they are always looking for volunteers, as it's a great way to help the community and make some extra money in the process.
