BOISE, Idaho — Feeling stressed, want to connect, love to dance or just spread some love? Students from a Boise State Universities Humanities and Cultural Studies class have created a project in the form of a communal dance flash mob to do just that.
"It is a call to dance your stress away, dance for a cause, dance for yourself, dance for someone else, or don’t dance at all! The goal is to get Boiseans together for an hour to spread the message of love and peace," a release stated.
The dance/flash mob is Tuesday, April 23 at noon in the Boise State quad. It's open to anyone and is free.
The students want to learn what they shared with the community and create an event that used the body as a positive means of communication. It's being hosted by the students in collaboration with Open Arms Dance Project.
"There is war, human rights violation, famine, etc. going on in different parts of the world and we sometimes feel hopeless that we cannot do anything to stop it. This flash mob is a reminder to renew hope in humanity," the release stated.
