SWANY Fire south of Kuna contained

BLM said the fire burned an estimated 1150 acres.

KUNA, Idaho — The Bureau of Land Management (BLM), said it has contained the SWANY fire that was three miles south of Kuna. It is estimated to have burned 1150 acres.

According to BLM, it was contained on July 6 at 7 a.m. and should be controlled by 8 p.m.

It took crews six engines, four overheads, a water tender and a dozer to extinguish the blaze and crews are still on the scene working on containment lines and hot spots.

BLM said the cause of the fire is being investigated.
