BOISE, Idaho — The popular TEDxBoise event is returning to JUMP in Boise April 20.
Now in its fifth year, TEDxBoise is an independently organized TED event that features people from our community sharing big ideas and unique viewpoints.
The showcase this year has the theme: Take Flight.
The event will feature over a dozen presenters split between two sessions.
Each will showcase a unique idea that they believe could change something about our world.
One of the talks this year features Monique Evancic explaining the Unexpected meanings of flowers. Evancic and the other presenters have worked for months crafting their talks alongside their coaches.

Now, only a week away Evancic and her coach Kirsten Holmberg are putting the final touches on their big talks while reflecting on the process they've been through.
"There is so much content that we as speakers can incorporate so having support in that decision-making process of what makes the final cut is very helpful," said Evancic.
Her coach says she is excited to watch all the speakers get to share their big ideas.
"We do have so much talent and a wealth of knowledge that exists in our community so being able to put that on a much larger broader stage is really exciting for us," said Holmberg,
