BOISE, Idaho — With the 2024 Mountain West Championship just three days away, ticketholders are excited for the match between Boise State and UNLV, but some who purchased tickets thought they may no longer be able to attend the game.
Tuesday morning, a number of ticket purchasers received an email from Ticketmaster notifying them that their championship game tickets have been refunded.
The email stated:
“Albertsons Stadium inadvertently made tickets available for sale that do not exist. Due to this, we’ve canceled your order and issued a full refund. If you’d like to still purchase tickets, there are Standard Admission reserved seats available.

On behalf of the venue, we apologize for the mix-up and any inconvenience this may have caused.
If the tickets were transferred to you, the refund will go to the fan who originally purchased the tickets from Ticketmaster.
Use this link to purchase Standard Admission reserved tickets.
If you have any questions regarding this cancellation, please contact the venue at 208-426-4737 or email ticketoffice@boisestate.edu.”
The notice sparked a lot of confusion as many people purchased tickets to the game within the first hours of game tickets going on sale on Nov. 26.
Now, with the game being at the end of this week, these former ticketholders are expressing their discontent in a Facebook post and looking for a resolution.
One ticketholder received a refund but had the incident resolved by the Boise State Broncos Ticket Office.
Before the resolution, ticketholder Kailyn Nobles Fuller told KTVB, “if I knew the right person to talk to, I would demand that resale tickets be purchased for those of us who are tickets were canceled and given to us this for the same price that we paid originally.”
After speaking with Boise State Bronco’s Ticket Office, Nobles Fuller was given new seats at the MW Championship for the original price she paid.
Many other ticketholders were hoping for the same resolution, which they got.
BSU Associate Athletic Director Chris Kutz said some tickets were accidentally sold twice, once on BSU’s ticket platform and then again by Ticketmaster.
Kutz provided a statement on behalf of the Boise State Broncos Ticket Office stating,
“We’re aware of the issue that some have experienced with tickets purchased for the MW Championship on Ticketmaster. Ticketmaster has refunded any purchases for the 230 affected buyers, and we are actively communicating with them. Anyone who was affected will have access to tickets for the game on Friday night so they can be a part of the great championship experience.”
Anyone who is supposed to have tickets to the game should confirm that the tickets are still valid, and if not, reach out to Boise State Bronco’s Ticket Office at ticketoffice@boisestate.edu.
