A Memorial Day service was held at Morris Hill Cemetery to honor those who died in the Civil War.

Idaho Civil War volunteers including an Abraham Lincoln look-alike, paid tribute with a flag-raising ceremony and gun salute at noon at the veterans monument in Morris Hill Cemetery in Boise.

We met the great-grandson of a Union infantryman. His father also served in the military and his brother died 50 years ago while serving in Vietnam.

"Glad to see younger people gettin' to know what's going on," said Laird King. "I know lots of people don't know about the various conflicts the United States has been in."

The Civil War volunteers repeated the ceremony at 1:15 this afternoon at Military Reserve Cemetery near Fort Boise Park.
