BOISE -- Idaho State Police are investigating a multiple-vehicle crash that injured a motorcyclist on eastbound I-84 Friday morning.
The crash happened around 7:40 a.m. near the Cole and Overland roads intersection.
ISP said Jesse Watkins, 43, of Boise was riding a 2006 Harley-Davidson in the lane between a 2000 Hyundai Sonata driven by Stephan Manning, 29, of Nampa and a 1998 Ford Contour driven by Craig Hoyt, 43, of Meridian.
According to police, Hoyt attempted to change lanes to the left, into the lane that was occupied by Watkins. To avoid being struck by Hoyt's vehicle, Watkins sideswiped Manning's car.
Watkins lost control of the motorcycle, it overturned and he was thrown from the bike.
Watkins was transported by ground ambulance to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise. The severity of his injuries is unknown.
Watkins was wearing a helmet and other protective gear, police said.
Manning and Hoyt were wearing seat belts.
The road was blocked for about 45 minutes.
