Urban Air hosting monthly 'Parkinson's Adventure Days'

There was an event back in February similar to this. Originally, the plan was for it to be a one time thing, but the day was so popular they decided to hold one each month.

MERIDIAN- The Northwest Parkinson's Foundation is teaming up with Urban Air Adventure Park in Meridian to encourage people living with the disease to be active.

Urban Air is now hosting "Parkinson's Adventure Days".

Those with the disease can come out for exercise as well as support from others with Parkinson's.

Studies show that exercise slows the progression of Parkinson's.

There was an event back in February similar to this. Originally, the plan was for it to be a one time thing, but the day was so popular they decided to hold one each month.

It's all thanks to a local man, Bradley Perry, who was diagnosed with Parkinson's three years ago.

"It gives you the chance to get up walk around and talk to people that have the same sort of condition, and see what they do to help themselves," he said.

Parkinson's Adventure Day at Urban Air will be held the first Sunday of every month. For more information contact Bradley Perry at treasurevalleyyopd@gmail.com.
