BOISE, Idaho — Education is a massive conversation across Idaho. With growing needs in major in-demand careers, preparing students for the Idaho workforce is a crucial goal.
A part of the equation is community colleges, like the College of Western Idaho (CWI).
CWI, main campus headquartered in Nampa, has worked to create programs and degrees to get Idaho on track with careers the state needs.
This week on Viewpoint, CWI President Gordon Jones joins the program to chat about CWI’s role in Idaho education, how Idaho Launch is benefitting students, and major plans to expand CWI with a Boise based campus.
President Jones also describes the mindset at CWI and new and innovative ways they are working to improve student outcomes from a variety of different background and needs.
