Wahooz plans indoor adventure park in Meridian

The four-story adventure park will feature eight new attractions, including a laser maze challenge, a ropes course, a climbing wall, bumper cars and more.

MERIDIAN -- A new indoor adventure park is being added to Wahooz Family Fun Zone in Meridian.

Mayor Tammy de Weerd used a jackhammer to kick off the groundbreaking ceremony Wednesday morning.

Wahooz will start construction on the 17,000-square-foot building April 1. The four-story adventure park will feature eight new attractions, including a laser maze challenge, a ropes course, a climbing wall, bumper cars and more.

Wahooz Marketing Director Tiffany Quilici said many of the attractions will unlike anything else currently offered in southern Idaho.

"We traveled all around the country looking for the biggest and best, most fun, newest attractions to bring into the indoor adventure park at Wahooz," she said. "It's just going to be a blast for Treasure Valley families."

The multi-million dollar project is scheduled to open by November, and will create an estimated 400 construction related jobs and 30 permanent jobs at Wahooz.
