Weiser woman dies in a crash on US-95 near Payette after failing to stop at a stop sign

Police say the 55-year-old woman died from her injuries at the scene.

A 55-year-old Weiser woman died in a crash that happened on highway 95 on Saturday.

PAYETTE, Idaho — A 55-year-old Weiser woman died on Saturday after police say she failed to stop at a stop sign on US-95 and Cox Road near Payette when another car crashed into her.

Police say Frances Redick was driving a 1998 Mazda Protege westbound on Cox Road and failed to yield at a stop sign.

A 73-year-old Payette man was driving a 2004 Dodge Durango northbound on US-95 when he crashed into Redick, according to investigators.

The man and his passengers were all transported to Weiser Memorial Hospital in Weiser. They were all wearing seat belts.

Redick died from her injuries at the scene of the crash.

The status of the Payette man and their passengers is currently unknown.

The investigation into the crash is still ongoing.
