BOISE, Idaho — An estimated one to three inches of snow is expected to drop on the floor of the Treasure Valley, creating challenging driving conditions and delays. Mountains are expected to get much more snow as well, with potential for highways to close.
Weather update:
In the Treasure Valley, snow is expected to fire up around midnight Monday and continue into Tuesday morning, with snow and/or wintry mix showers off and on through Wednesday morning. 1-3" of accumulation is possible in the Boise area by Tuesday morning, with 2-3" expected in the Magic Valley, so Tuesday's morning commute will be a slow and slippery one. Snow showers could linger into Wednesday morning before the system finally moves off to the south and the east by midday Wednesday, allowing drier air to work its way in.
