MOUNTAIN HOME, Idaho — A 168-acre wildfire six miles south of Simco Road in Elmore County is contained.
A spokesperson with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) told KTVB the fire was knocked down and contained at 4 p.m. Tuesday. Officials expect the fire to be controlled at 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 25.
BLM said two small quarter-acre fires, called the Store and Boat fires, started around the same time. They were quickly put out.
The fire is under investigation, but BLM said it was caused by humans.
Four engines, one dozer and three overhead vehicles were utilized, BLM said. The Orchard Combat Training Center assisted BLM by filling up their engines with water.
