BOISE, Idaho — The Ada County Coroner's Office identified 78-year-old Arlene Parrish of Eagle, as the individual killed in a crash on New Year's Eve.
The two-vehicle crash happened at 11:31 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 31, at the intersection of Can-Ada Road and West Chinden Highway 20-26 in Meridian, according to Idaho State Police.
The coroner was dispatched to the scene of the crash within an hour, where Parrish was pronounced dead at 12:20 a.m. on Jan. 1.
Police said Parrish was driving north on Can Ada Road in a 2003 Dodge Stratus when she collided with another vehicle driven by a 36-year-old woman headed east on US Highway 20-26. The 36-year-old was not wearing a seatbelt and was taken to the hospital. There is no additional information on her condition.
ISP said Parrish was wearing a seatbelt.
ISP is investigating the cause of the crash.
