72-year-old woman hit and killed crossing Myrtle Street in Boise

The 72-year-old was rushed to the hospital, but did not survive.

Police say the woman was struck while crossing Myrtle Street.

BOISE, Idaho — A 72-year-old woman is dead after she was struck by a car in downtown Boise Monday night.

The collision happened at about 6 p.m. on Myrtle Street between 2nd Street and Avenue A.

Boise Police say Alice Kinberg, of Boise, was walking across Myrtle when she was struck. She was not in a crosswalk at the time, investigators say.

Kinberg was rushed by ambulance to a local hospital, where she died. 

The driver of the car, a 30-year-old woman, remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation.

The crash remains under investigation.
