Police: Prisoner recaptured after escaping deputies at Boise Airport

Deputies from the Twin Falls County Sheriff's Office were transporting the suspect through the airport when the prisoner managed to get away, police said.

BOISE, Idaho — A prisoner was recaptured Thursday afternoon a short time after he escaped from deputies at the Boise Airport, police said.

According to a Twitter post by Boise police, deputies from the Twin Falls County Sheriff's Office were transporting the suspect through the airport when the prisoner managed to get away from the deputies near the parking lot.

Boise police officers were called in to assist and arrested the suspect a short time later near the intersection of West Airport Way and West Wright Street.

No injuries were reported. The suspect was taken to Twin Falls where he will be booked into the county jail.

Additional charges are pending, police said.
