Canyon County is looking for civic-minded individuals to become poll workers ahead of the November election.

As a poll worker, you will assist voters at polling locations by checking in and registering voters, ensuring they are provided the correct ballot, and explaining how to cast ballots correctly.

Poll workers must be able to work each election day from open to close.

That's from about 7 a.m. until shortly after the polls close at 8 p.m.

You must be at least 17 years old and a U.S. citizen.

Info sessions will be held on Wednesday, September 19 at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m.

Poll workers are paid $149 for each election.
