CALDWELL -- The winner in the Republican primary for Canyon County Sheriff is incumbent Kieran Donahue.
He captured 44 percent of the ballot with 5,397 votes, beating both challengers in the primary. Parma Police Chief Albert Erickson and Canyon County investigator Tony Thompson received 36 and 20 percent of the vote, respectively.
Donahue will face off against Constitution Party candidate Robert Muse, a licensed bail bond agent and former Owyhee County deputy sheriff in the November election.
