BOISE, Idaho — The search continues for a missing man in Yellowstone, officials announced Friday.

Austin King, an employee of Xanterra Parks and Resorts, a private business authorized to operate in Yellowstone, has been missing since Sept. 20, after he didn't arrive at his pickup area following a backpacking trip, the news release said.

So far, 96 employees, two helicopters, a search dog team, ground teams with spotting scopes and a drone have searched for King.

On Thursday, two helicopters did an extensive search for King. Grand Teton National Park, Park County, Wyoming, and Teton County, Wyoming are working together to continue the search.

King was due to be at a boat pick up on Sept. 20, and did not arrive. On Sept. 17, there was detected cell phone activity from King, and teams are working to gather as much data as possible from his phone.

If anyone has seen King or knows what happened to him is asked to call the Yellowstone Interagency Communications System at 307-344-2643.
