SPOKANE, Wash. — In a statement released from the airline, Sun Country flight 286 from Seattle to Minneapolis St. Paul experienced an engine shutdown and diverted to Spokane Friday evening.
The airlines says the flight landed safely at Spokane.
In a statement, Sun Country Airlines says, "The safety of our passengers and crew are our priority, and we appreciate the work of our pilots and flight attendants to ensure the safety of our customers. We worked to provide accommodations for our passengers overnight and the flight departed at 10:30 am local on another aircraft."
According to Flight Aware, Sun Country Airlines Flight 286 with service from Seattle to Minneapolis flew through Idaho and into Montana before it turned around and diverted its path to Spokane.
The plane that was diverted was a Boeing 737-800.
