MERIDIAN, Idaho — Today we're gonna party like it's 1999!
Because today marks two decades of family fun in the sun at Roaring Springs Water Park.
And to celebrate the park's 20th anniversary, people can get into the park today only for just $20.
That's how much it cost to get in back in 1999.
Since that day the park has seen 5 million guests and added several major attractions.
"Construction on Roaring Springs started in the winter of 1999, it opened on June 19th, 1999 with six major attractions, and since then we've added seven more major attractions, making Roaring Springs the largest water park in the Northwest," said marketing director Tiffany Quilici.
The celebration included free cake, princess and super hero visits for kids, beach balls, and a concert will be held on the wave pool stage tonight.
That $20 admission price ends today.
A regular Roaring Springs ticket costs around $35.
According to the park's website, it will be closed Thursday and Friday due to weather, but the world's largest swim lesson event will still take place Thursday.
