Stinker Stores make big donation to fight domestic violence, sexual abuse

The money will help six Idaho nonprofits.

BOISE, Idaho — A big donation Tuesday that will help in the fight against domestic violence and sexual abuse in Idaho.

Stinker Stores presented a check worth more than $148,000 to six Idaho nonprofits including the Women's and Children's Alliance, Rose Advocates, and Family Services Alliance.

The nonprofits all aim to help children affected by the drama of domestic violence and sexual abuse.

“Whether that be education and outreach, whether that be providing shelter, counseling, whatever the services are, that will help our youth overcome that has been suffered through witnessing some kind of domestic violence, sexual assault, any kind of abuse,” said WCA Executive Director Beatrice Black.

Stinker Stores customers helped raise the money by giving to the Piece of Hope campaign last month.
