Third person dies from Sunday's head-on crash on Highway 95

The 71-year-old woman died at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center from her injuries sustained in the crash.

WEISER, Idaho — A third person has died from the head-on crash on Highway 95 that happened on Sunday morning, according to the Ada County Coroner's Office.

71-year-old Lois Bridge of Weiser died on Monday from blunt force trauma from a car crash, according to the coroner's release.

Bridge died at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center after being taken by air ambulance from the scene of the crash on Sunday.

The crash happened when a 48-year-old woman began to drift off the side of the road, the overcorrected and drove into oncoming traffic, hitting Bridge's vehicle, police say.

Idaho State Police are investigating the crash.
