BOISE, Idaho — A Walk of Silence was held Wednesday evening to honor the elderly couple killed in February in a Boise crosswalk.
Bob and Florence Goar were hit by a SUV on the corner of Milwaukee and Northview streets on February 27. They both died from their injuries.
The Idaho Walk Bike Alliance said they walked to remember the couple and all other crash victims.
"We needed to bring up awareness on these types of crashes so we decided to do this event here," said Cynthia Gibson, who is the Idaho Walk Bike Alliance Executive Director. "It was beautiful. The rain stopped and the rainbows came out. It was really lovely."
The group met at 5:30 p.m. at the corner of Northview and Christine streets before walking to the intersection of Northview and Milwaukee.
There was a short gathering afterward.
