COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho – For the man who was shot half a dozen times back in March while walking to his car after church service, Tim Remington, he is doing much better. In fact, he is recovering ahead of schedule.

After hearing Remington talk about how many times he was shot, it is hard to believe he is still here.

“Holding my wrist out is absolutely huge,” Remington said.

Then there is his right arm and hand – the part of his body that was injured the worst.

“I can move my hand around now. I can move my elbow,” Remington said.

The pain has not left but Remington said he is continuing to get feeling back each and every day. A massive change from being gunned down, shot six times, outside the Altar Church in March.

“I still have three bullets in me and a bunch of shrapnel,” he said.

Remington undergoes rehab three days a week and recently had surgery on his stomach. He is done going under the knife for now.

“I have healed very, very fast,” he said, “and gone farther than the doctors thought I would go.”

Remington is back driving himself. He has even been plowing snow around his home. Of course, he has been back preaching at the Altar for several months now. His faith has not changed a bit.

Especially, his forgiveness for the man who police said pulled the trigger nine months ago.

“As far as Kyle’s concerned. We haven’t went backwards on that at all. We still pray for his salvation.”

Remington prays for and is continuing to thank those around him too. He said the memories of an auction and fundraiser at the Coeur d’Alene resort in May are still fresh.
