BOISE -- It didn't take long to find the new man to lead Boise State's athletic department and he is someone people around here know well.
Four days after the announcement that Mark Coyle would be leaving for Syracuse, former Associate Athletic Director Curt Apsey, who left BSU last fall for the AD's job at Carroll College in Montana, will be returning to Boise, according to multiple sources inside Boise State and the Helena News.
Boise State sports insider Tom Scott says this will be a popular choice.
Apsey served in the Boise State athletic department as senior associated athletic director from 1998 to 2014, serving as interim athletic director for four months before Coyle's hire in December of 2011. His return was announced Monday.
