Boise State women's basketball head coach could become highest-paid in the Mountain West Conference

BOISE, Idaho — Boise State is hoping to make head women's basketball coach Gordy Presnell the highest-paid women's basketball coach in the Mountain West Conference.

The university has proposed a new contract to the Idaho State Board of Education that, if approved, would bump Presnell's base pay from $225,000 to $300,000 dollars.

That number does not include performance-based bonuses, which could increase that amount to $427,000.

Presnell, the 2019 Mountain West Conference coach of the year, has led the Bronco women to three-straight NCAA tournament appearances and is coming off a school-record 28-win season.
