BOISE -- A former Idaho Stampede player is in jail accused of assault.
Guard Tony Bobbitt has been arrested and charged with two felonies and a misdemeanor.
He was booked into Ada County Jail early Monday morning, and is charged with felony attempted strangulation, felony domestic assault, and misdemeanor domestic assault.
According to the Stampede front office, Bobbitt was released from the team with two weeks left in the season.
He started 32 games for the Stamps and played in a team high 46 games this season.
