BOISE, Idaho — Senior Hayleigh Oliver on Monday became the third-straight Eagle softball standout to take home 5A Southern Idaho Conference Player of the Year, joining Lizzy Tommasini (2023) and Sydney Groves (2022).
The Iowa State commit had a .523 batting average with 38 RBIs and 16 home runs this spring. No. 3 Eagle advanced in the 5A state tournament with a 23-13 win over No. 6 Capital, before falling to eventual champion Borah and top-seeded Owyhee.
Mountain View head coach Kylie Orr was named the 2024 5A SIC softball Coach of the Year. The Mavericks had three players land on the all-conference first team, with two others selected to the second team.
