EAGLE -- The Eagle High School varsity softball team can now call themselves national champions.
The Mustangs finished atop the MaxPreps top 25 standings this season after going 29-0 this season, winning their second consecutive 5A state title last month.
As a team, the Mustangs hit .468, had 65 home runs and only allowed a total of 61 hits.
