History
Last Playoff Appearance: 2017
State Titles: None
The Wolves made it to the playoffs last year, but they lost a lot of talent off of that team. Guys like Dylan Herberg and Connor Riddle are now playing over at Boise State, leaving Timberline with just four returning starters on both sides of the ball.
As head coach Ian Smart begins year No. 2 with the Wolves, he is attempting to build a program that won't just win this season, but for the long haul as well. Considering that Timberline has only had two winning seasons in the past 14 years, and the program is still chasing their first-ever playoff win, that is a task that easier said than done.
"It's not going to happen overnight," said Smart. "[Our] football players are going to speak the right way, they're going to treat their teachers with respect, and we're going to hold them to that."
"When you take over as a head coach, you just want to instill the things that you believe in," added Smart. "My biggest goal is to just change the narrative of what Timberline football is."
