BOISE, Idaho — After knocking off previous No. 1 Pocatello last week, Preston climbed its way into the top spot in the 4A rankings over the Thunder and Hillcrest in the latest Idaho high school boys basketball state media poll, released Tuesday.
The updated 5A rankings include three squads from the Southern Idaho Conference, with Owyhee leading the way after receiving all 11 first-place votes. The Storm host Eagle in the Battle for the Bolt Tuesday, while No. 4 Meridian and Mountain View meet in the 19th annual Stinky Sneaker rivalry game.
Also sweeping its respective first-place votes is 2A leader Cole Valley Christian, who touts a 10-1 overall record entering Tuesday's massive battle with No. 2 Ambrose.
