BOISE, Idaho — Idaho's prep football teams are making their final push this week in hopes of making it to next week's state championship games.
Last week, two of the five remaining Treasure Valley 5A teams came out victorious: undefeated Eagle and Meridian. This week, Meridian will take on Highland at Holt Arena in Pocatello, while the Mustangs will host the number one seed from the north, Coeur d'Alene.
In 4A, Bishop Kelly continued to dominate their opponents, beating rival Emmett 28-7, but Skyview fell on the road, losing to number one Hillcrest 51-14. The Knights will host Pocatello on Friday.
Both 3A Sanke River Conference teams are still alive after their wins last week. Number five Weiser will face one of their toughest matchups of the season on Friday as they go on the road to take on number one Sugar-Salem. Number two Homedale will host number three Teton on Saturday afternoon.
Finally, number five Melba is the only remaining local team in the 2A bracket. They take on number one Declo Friday night.
