BOISE, Idaho — The Idaho Steelheads begin their bid for back-to-back trips to the ECHL Kelly Cup Finals on Monday night after finishing the regular season with the league's third-best record.
Idaho welcomes the Allen Americans to downtown Boise at 7:10 p.m. Monday for Game 1 of the 2024 Mountain Division Semifinals. The series marks the second-straight year the rivals have met in the postseason.
The Steelheads (48-20-2-2) captured eight wins over the Americans (33-35-3-1) during their 11 matchups this season. Seven of the eight victories came in the comfortable confines of Idaho Central Arena, which plays host to Game 1 and Game 2 on Wednesday.
All home games during the ECHL Kelly Cup Playoffs will be broadcast on Idaho's Very Own 24/7 in the Boise and Twin Falls markets through KTVB Channel 7's partnership with the Idaho Steelheads.
Idaho's Very Own 24/7 is available free over the air on channel 7.2 or 7-2 depending on your TV brand. It is also available on Sparklight Cable on channel 13 and Cox Cable on channel 128.
The Steelheads are making their 18th appearance in the playoffs in 19 opportunities since joining the ECHL. Both franchises are looking to win their third Kelly Cup. The Americans have reached the playoffs in eight of past nine years.
Idaho finished second in goals scored (303) and 17th in goals against (242) this season, while touting the league's top power-play numbers. Allen's 233 goals for ranked 12th, while it finished 26th with 276 goals against.
The Americans finished one spot behind the Steelheads in the Mountain Division standings, led by the Kansas City Mavericks (54-12-4-2). The series moves to the Lone Star State for three-straight matchups starting with Game 3 on Friday, April 26, before it returns to Boise if necessary.

- Game 1 vs. Allen – Monday, April 22 at 7:10 p.m.
- Game 2 vs. Allen – Wednesday, April 24 at 7:10 p.m.
- Game 3 at Allen – Friday, April 26 at 6:10 p.m.
- Game 4 at Allen – Saturday, April 27 at 3:10 p.m.
- Game 5 at Allen – Sunday, April 28 at 3:10 p.m. (if necessary)
- Game 6 vs. Allen – Tuesday, April 30 at 7:10 p.m. (if necessary)
- Game 7 vs. Allen – Wednesday May 1 at 7:10 p.m. (if necessary)
