BOISE, Idaho — The Idaho Steelheads are set to face off with the Allen Americans in the ECHL Kelly Cup Playoffs for the second-straight year, this time in the first round of postseason play.
Idaho finished the regular season in second place in the Mountain Division with an overall record of 48-20-2. Steelheads fans sold out Idaho Central Arena in downtown Boise 35 times in 36 home games, including Saturday's finale against the Utah Grizzlies.
The fish have captured 40 or more wins in 14 of 20 ECHL seasons. Idaho reached the Kelly Cup Finals for the first time since 2010 last year after setting ECHL regular-season records in wins (58), points (119) and home wins (32).
Everett Sheen's squad advanced to the 2023 Western Conference Finals after a second-round series win over the Americans. Third-place Allen went 33-35-4 this season and finished one spot behind the Steelheads in the division.
The Steelheads and Americans open the 2024 playoffs at 7:10 p.m. on Monday, April 22 in the City of Trees. Tickets for Game 1 and Game 2 in Boise are set to go on sale at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 16.
Game 2 is scheduled for April 24, before the series moves to the Lone Star State for three-straight game. If the seven-game series returns to Idaho, tickets for the final two matchups will go on sale at a later date.

- Game 1 vs. Allen – Monday, April 22 at 7:10 p.m.
- Game 2 vs. Allen – Wednesday, April 24 at 7:10 p.m.
- Game 3 at Allen – Friday, April 26 at 6:10 p.m.
- Game 4 at Allen – Saturday, April 27 at 3:10 p.m.
- Game 5 at Allen – Sunday, April 28 at 3:10 p.m. (if necessary)
- Game 6 vs. Allen – Tuesday, April 30 at 7:10 p.m. (if necessary)
- Game 7 vs. Allen – Wednesday May 1 at 7:10 p.m. (if necessary)
