BOISE, Idaho — Junior forward Tyson Degenhart earned a spot on the All-Mountain West first team for the second-straight year Monday, as voted on by members of the media covering the league.
Degenhart headlines Boise State's four all-conference honorees, with O'Mar Stanley, Chibuzo Agbo and Max Rice also receiving recognition. The Spokane native averaged 18.2 points in Mountain West contests, which ranked second behind San Diego State's Jaedon LeDee.
Stanley landed on the third team Monday in his first year as a Bronco after transferring from St. John's. The 6-foot-8 forward posted 14.4 points and 7.2 rebounds per outing during conference play, and scored at least 20 points on five occasions during the regular season.
Agbo's debut all-conference nod comes after the senior guard finished in the top 20 in scoring, rebounding and 3-pointers made. He averaged 12. 4 points and 5.2 rebounds in Mountain West games, while shooting 42.5% from the floor.
Rice joined Agbo as an honorable mention selection, marking his second-consecutive recognition after the media voted him to the third team last season. Rice also landed on the coaches' all-conference second team following the 2022-2023 campaign.
The Bishop Kelly graduate ranked fourth shooting 36.6% from behind the arc during Mountain West play and led the league with a 35-point performance in Boise State's win over New Mexico on Jan. 31. Rice totaled 13 points per game against conference opponents.
No. 3 Boise State faces the winner of No. 6 New Mexico and No. 11 Air Force on Thursday in the conference tournament quarterfinals at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas. The contest is scheduled for 9:30 p.m. MT/8:30 p.m. PT on CBS Sports Network.
