BOISE, Idaho — Boise State women's basketball looks to clinch a spot in the Mountain West Tournament title game for the first time since 2020 on Tuesday night as it squares off with San Diego State.

The semifinal matchup features a pair of bracket-busters who are playing in their third game in as many days. No. 6 Boise State scored 14 unanswered points in the fourth quarter Monday to knock off No. 3 Wyoming 62-54. The Broncos only led for 6:35 of the contest.

No. 7 San Diego State never trailed in its 67-56 upset of No. 2 New Mexico, an effort powered by three double-digit scorers and a double-double from Kim Villalobos. The Aztecs outrebounded the Lobos 45-25 in the quarterfinal win.

Each squad claimed a home victory during the regular season series, with the Broncos winning 68-59 on Jan. 13, and the Aztecs rolling 79-54 on Jan. 27. Boise State owns the best winning percentage of any program at the Mountain West Tournament with a 20-7 overall record.

All 20 wins have come under legendary head coach Gordy Presnell, who can tie Don Flanagan's league record of 21 tournament wins by taking down San Diego State in the semifinals. Flanagan set the standard between 1999 and 2011 at New Mexico.

The battle to reach the championship tips off at 8:30 p.m. MT / 7:30 p.m. PT Tuesday at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas. The game will be broadcast on the Mountain West Network and 670 KBOI AM.

In the comeback over the Cowboys, Boise State sophomore Mya Hansen scored a game-high 20 points on 7-of-15 shooting from the floor. The Montana native accounted for 10 of the Broncos' 12 points in the first quarter.

In Sunday's 85-49 rout of No. 11 Utah State to open postseason play, Abby Muse notched the third triple-double in program history, tallying 12 points, 11 rebounds and a career-high 10 assists.

Muse was named to the Mountain West All-Defensive Team for the second-straight year hours before the game. The senior forward is the first Boise State player to receive the recognition in back-to-back seasons.

Natalie Pasco, who became the first Bronco to earn a spot on the All-Mountain West Team since the 2019-2020 season, has scored 10 points in each of Boise State's tournament wins.

San Diego State seniors Abby Prohaska and Adryana Quezada were both named to the All-Mountain West Team. Quezada leads the Aztecs in both scoring and rebounding, averaging 13.8 and 6.5 per game. Prohaska adds 10.2 points and 5.6 boards per game.

No. 1 UNLV and No. 5 Colorado State face off in the other conference semifinal at 4 p.m. MT / 5 p.m. PT Tuesday on the Mountain West Network. The championship game is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. MT / 7:30 p.m. PT Wednesday on CBS Sports Network.
