MOSCOW, Idaho — The Idaho Vandals built off their last win in a big way Saturday afternoon, defeating the UAlbany Great Danes handily by a score of 41-13.
The Vandals went on the road last weekend and beat the Wyoming Cowboys 17-13, carrying last week's momentum into Saturday.
The Vandals got off to a flying start, eventually heading into halftime with a 27-3 lead. The Vandals carried that momentum into the second half, leading 41-6 heading into the final quarter of play and cruising to the victory.
The Vandals ended the game with 247 rushing yards, averaging 7.5 yards a rush. Nate Thomas led the way with eight rushes for 75 yards and two touchdowns. Elisha Cummings also had a strong day for the Vandals, rushing for over 70 yards himself on 11 carries.
Quarterback Jack Wagner also had a strong day himself, completing 10 of his 20 throws for 156 yards and two touchdowns, both of which were to wideout Jordan Dwyer.
The Vandals return to action next Saturday, September 21, where they will travel to Texas to play Abilene Christian. Kickoff is scheduled for 5 p.m.
