BOISE, Idaho — Representatives from 17 different NFL teams and a Canadian Football League franchise made their way to the City of Trees on Tuesday to evaluate Boise State's draft-eligible players.
Six former Broncos performed during Pro Day, along with three players from the College of Idaho and two from Idaho State. Running back George Holani participated in on-field drills, but let his numbers from the NFL Combine do the majority of the talking.
Holani said he's "talked to almost every (NFL) team," adding he has upcoming Zoom meetings with the Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Charges. The California native is the likely favorite to continue Boise State's streak of 14-straight years of having at least one player drafted.
Current Bronco quarterback Maddux Madsen also had the opportunity to throw for Holani, Stefan Cobbs and Billy Bowens in front of the 19 representatives from 18 professional franchises, including the Edmonton Elks of the CFL. The wide receivers both had solid workouts Tuesday.
Cobbs suffered a season-ending knee injury in Boise State's road game against Fresno State in November and ran routes for the first time last week, but said he "felt crisp" on the field at Pro Day.
The 180-pound wide receiver cleared 32 inches on the vertical jump, 9 feet, 11 inches in the broad jump, and ran a 4.67 in the 40-yard dash.

Bowens turned heads with his athleticism early and often inside the Bleymaier Football and Caven-Williams Indoor Facilities. He ran a 4.46 in the 40-yard dash and led all Broncos with a 39.5-inch vertical and 11-foot broad jump.
The impressive day ended in heartbreaking fashion during individual drills, as Bowens was carted off after going down with what appeared to be a leg injury while going after a deep ball.
"I almost teared up. I kind of had to lock back in … We came in together, we've been tight since day one, since 2018," Cobbs said. "Billy showed out today and everybody could see that. Billy did his thing, he looked good and everything … Just knowing Bill man, I know he's gonna bounce back."
Two-time All-Mountain West honoree Cade Beresford also put together solid numbers Tuesday with the NFL Draft scheduled to begin in less than a month. The offensive tackle started in all 27 games at Boise State after transferring from Washington State.
Beresford hit 23 reps on the bench press (225 pounds), cleared 28 inches on the vertical jump and 8 feet, 11 inches on the broad jump, and ran a 5.21 in the 40. The Washington native came in at 6-foot-6, 302 pounds.
In addition to Beresford, Bowens, Cobbs and Holani, former Bronco offensive lineman Ethan Carde and long snapper Koby Tryggestad also participated in Pro Day. All results for each player are included below.
The Boise State NFL hopefuls were joined by College of Idaho defensive back Chip Mitchell, offensive lineman Garret Rehberg and wide receiver Jon Schofield. Idaho State wide receiver Cyrus Wallace and running back Soujah Gasu also showcased their skills Tuesday.
