BOISE, Idaho — The Boise State Broncos are nearing the halfway point of the season with a home matchup with the Hawai'i Rainbow Warriors, which could be a preview of the Mountain West Conference Championship game in December.
Boise State (5-0, 2-0) is back on the Blue after a 38-13 win over the UNLV Rebels (1-4, 0-2) in Las Vegas last week. The Rainbow Warriors (4-1, 1-0) are traveling to Boise after their first bye week of the season but dismantled the Nevada Wolfpack, 54-3 in Reno, in their last game.
Both the Broncos and Warriors lead their divisions and are the favorites to win them, so this matchup could be a preview of the Mountain West Conference Championship game on Dec. 7. The championship game is hosted by the team with the higher ranking in the Top 25 Polls, so it is possible for Boise State to host the Mountain West Championship game for the third straight year.
